Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Black T-shirt or turtleneck (turtleneck is advised)
Black pants or skirt
Black shoes
Black eyeliner
1 large spider web (Joanne's ususally has a large ropey one)
1 large fake spider
Fake plastic bugs (optional)
Glue or black thread to tack everything in place
Wire (optional)
Instructions:
Take the spiderweb and cut it down to the size you want it to be, usually from wrist to wrist and as circular as you can get it.
Use the glue or thread to attach the web to the shirt, at least at the collar and towards the bottom, and on both sleeves.
Tie or glue the fake bugs on to the web.
After putting on the costume, attach the spider to your shouldar with glue or tape and paint an hourglass figure on your forehead.
If you have long hair, it's advisable to pull it up and maybe put some bugs or spiders in your hair.
Other information to consider:
I used this costume when I lived in a college dorm. My fiancee's mom had sent down the web, the spider and the bugs, so I assembled it all. It works out pretty well for a quick costume, and if you use thread to attach everything, you can still wear the clothes afterward.
