If you are broke or have no time to buy a costume, look no further than the basement/attic. For a princess, the easiest and cheapest way is to use an old ballet costume. Totally cheap and not time consuming.

Instructions:
Put on the ballet costume. Now if you want to be a ballerina, I would suggest wearing your hair in a bun. If you are looking more towards the princess look, you might want to either have your hair in a head band or half pulled up. You can also curl your hair (optional). This is one costume you will wear for a while.

Other information to consider:
If being a ballerina, consider wearing ballet shoes. If being a princess, you can make an easy hat with a piece of paper and a scarf. Just make the paper into a cone shape and color it the color of the costume. Then, attach the scarf to the top of the hat. Glitter can be added.
