4 Star Costume Rating

What age group is this costume for?
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time required to make this costume:
30 minutes

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Large, card board box--a size
that can fit over your child's shoulders.
Paper grocery bags
Empty food containers, like cereal boxes, milk cartons, granola bar boxes, Hershey syrup bottle etc.
Long cash register receipt
Glue gun

Instructions:
Carefully cut the top and bottom out of the box. Cover the sides of the box with paper grocery bags. Using a straight razor, or utility knife, CAREFULLY cut out two small holes in the center of the covered box, for your child to see through, and also arm holes in the sides of the box. Then, one by one begin to hot glue the empty contatiners, first to the sides of the box (make sure you leave plenty of the item showing)and eventually fill in the center of the grocery bag by glueing the remaining containers to each other. Finally, glue the register receipt so that it streams down the outside of the bag.

Other information to consider:
WARNING the costume is cute and fun, but it is a bit awkward, so you should walk with your child while he or she is Trick or Treating. My son won first place in fourth grade for this costume.
