Wheelchair! Police

What age group is this costume for?
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time required to make this costume:
A good hard work day

Difficulty level:
Quick and easy - no sewing required

Items you will need: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
Lots of blue wrapping paper or felt
Blue T-shirt or sweatshirt
Blue pants
Felt tip marker
Blue material of some sort
Maskin/Duct/Packaging, or Some kind of heavy duty tape
A police hat (Try Party City)
A small bit of white cardboard
Yellow marker
Two safety pins

Instructions:
1. Take the blue wrapping paper or felt and cover the wheelchair. Tape it.

2. Take the felt tip marker and write "Police" on the back of the wheelchair.

3. Take the blue material and cut armholes. Put it on the child and measure where the end of his/her neck is on the material. Cut it. Instant vest.

4. Write "Police" on the back of the vest and small on one side in the front.

5. Take the cardboard and cut a small rectangle and a small star. Color the star yellow. Write "Officer_______ (the child's name)" on the rectangle.

6. Safety pin the star and rectangle onto the vest.

7. Put on all the clothes, and ride away.

Other information to consider:
You may want to consider getting fake sirens and/or a noisemaker of some sort, like an air horn.
