Show description:
This is an excellent program hosted by Lavar Burton that is both educational and resourceful. This show makes learning and reading fun by allowing the host to ask questions about interesting topics ( from hot air ballons to dinosaurs to music) and offers hands on demonstrations. Children are encouraged to "take a look in a book" to find out more. This show is further enhanced by the book reviews that present children giving reasons why they enjoyed reading a particular book. Viewers may also request a scheduled list of the reading rainbow books that are to be featured. These books are usually available at your local library. My children love this program...."but don't take my word for it."

This show is meant for children who are:
Toddlers
Preschoolers
Early Elementary
Later Elementary
