Show description:
The Backyardigans is a top-notch new show that will appeal to children from pre-school age through early elementary. The characters' imaginative play in their backyard takes them on colorful adventures to various times and places. The roles they assume include pirates, vikings, explorers, and Mounties. Among the places they visit are the jungle, the arctic, the wild west, and Ancient Egypt. The characters are Uniqua (a ladybug), Pablo (a penguin), Tyrone (a moose), Tasha (a hippo) and Austin (a kangaroo). The characters also sing very well and the songs are an integral part of the show.
