Expert/company advocating this approach (if applicable):
Cousin of a newly trained boy.

Description of method:
I was visiting my aunt and uncle's house for a week. Their son was 4 (going on 5) and still not potty trained. They'd tried everything, and the current methods were (1) charts and stickers and (2) set him in front of the tv on a potty--eventually he would just GO, because he'd be concentrating on something else. Anyway, when my mom and I were visiting, he wanted to be like his big cousin, so he pretty much trained himself. He wanted to make me proud. When we left, he asked his parents if he could phone us. His first words to me on the phone were "I went potty FOUR TIMES today!!!" I don't know which of us was prouder.
