Description of method:
My Son was 3 1/2 and he had NEVER used the potty. He refused. Our doctor told us not to push, but we felt like we had no leverage. So I starting mentioning, casually, that he was growing out of some clothes and that his diapers would be too small soon too, and asked what he would do when that happened. He said "go on the potty". So after a few weeks of this, we went and bought a smaller diaper size, put them on him, and said "well, looks like they got too small". And that was it, he went on the potty that day every day from that day forward. This method worked because he felt like he had some control over the issue. And he had a chance to get used to the idea.

Recommended age for this method:
At least 3, when they are physically ready, and just need a subtle push.

How long should it take for child to be potty trained by this method?
Several weeks.
