3 Star Technique Rating

Expert/company advocating this approach (if applicable):
Jim Henson Books featuring Baby Ms. Piggy

Description of method:
Walks the parent and child through the difficulties of the parent changing diapers and how it feels to the child to be changed especially at times when the child is busy with an activity and "Mommy" calls "time to change the diaper." Encourages the child that it's time to grow up and graduate to big kid pants (panties for girls and underwear for boys). A very educational and fun learning tool for both the parent and child. A book that will be requested to be read over and over again as your child gains his/her self confidence to "just do it."

Recommended age for this method:
18 months-2 years

How long should it take for child to be potty trained by this method?
With strong positive reinforcement approximately 1-2 months depending on age and maturity of the child.
