Brief summary:
Part of what makes this book unique is that the author wrote it at age 14. It's the story of a teenage girl named Risika who has been dead since 1684, and has been doomed to walk the night ever since, in search of fresh blood to quench her neverending thirst. Many of the popular ideas about vampires are rejected in this story, as Risika faces a challenge from her nemesis, another vampire named Aubrey. Recommended for ages 12-15.

Atwater-Rhodes has written a second novel featuring the character Aubrey, entitled Demon in My View.
