Grover tries to convince the reader not to turn any pages of the book, so that they won't meet up with the monster at the end of the book.

This book is interactive. Grover attempts to stop the reader from turning pages by tying one page to the next, nailing one page to the next, and by building a brick wall. At the end of the book, it turns out that Grover is the monster.
