High School & Beyond

Describe the material:
Keep things you usually have around the house in accessible places for the child. It is low cost because these are things you already have. My son loves to read; keep books of various subjects around. He loves to color, paint and draw. Keep these supplies at all times. Keep activity books that will keep their attention. Things that will challenge him/her as they get bored doing things they have already mastered. Be willing to let him/her use the computer. There are a lot of games they can use to challenge themselves. Keep a variety of things you know they enjoy handy in a place they will know where to go to find something to do.

Skill(s) that the material seeks to develop:
Creativity
Critical Thinking
Problem Solving
Research Skills
