Brief description of this software product:
Spelling 1-2 offers three undersea adventures and a colorful cast of characters to help children build their spelling skills. Hang out with the musicians in the Coral Reef, the pirates in the Sunken Galley, or the creatures in NeptuneÆs Cave to work on your spelling and free trapped fish. Before each game, youÆll review a list of eight words. When youÆre ready to begin, click the Play button. Listen to each word and see it spelled out letter by letter, then itÆs your turn. Type in the letters using the keyboard or click the correct letters in the alphabet at the top of the screen. Each group of correctly spelled words frees another trapped fish to swim in the Tropical Lagoon. The program automatically adjusts the level of difficulty based on performance in each round. Players may view and print a progress report, including a list of correctly spelled words and words that need more study.
