Instructions for using this technique:
Let child pick a book, nightly, read one chapter together (you read this page and I'll read the next). This is to be done in the same quiet spot. All bathroom and drink trips are to be done first. When chapter is done, (we call this quiet time) the child knows it's time for bed.

Other information parents should consider before using this technique:
Age of child, use picture books if child is unable to read. The important thing is for child to have control over picking out the book, as parent has control over when to start reading and when bedtime is.
