Age group(s) for which this technique is helpful:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Primarily used to improve behavior:
At School

Instructions for using this technique:
I have a definite problem child and started awarding "pawprints" on a weekly calendar for good school behavior (no hitting, biting, hurting). If he gets all five pawprints, he gets to pick a prize, like at the dentist office. I hope to decrease the bribery soon, but it works right now. It really works...

Other information parents should consider before using this technique:
Decide whether you are into bribery...I am, because he was uncontrollable until there was a reward for good behavior.
