Preschool and Younger

Primarily used to improve behavior:
At Home

Instructions for using this technique:
I have seen so much here about helping these kids. I have a four year old son with severe ADHD. I am getting all the help I can find for him; however, there is no help for me and how to cope with the feelings I have. Some days I sit and cry, feeling like I just want to run away (of course I can never do that). When I feel really low, I leave my husband with the kids, I go out in my car and put my favorite song on really loud, and I just drive and sing my head off. It gives me the chance to get rid of the stress of the day without harming anyone. Go on - try it! It really does work. Besides getting rid of stress, it also makes you laugh because apart from anything else, it really is a silly thing to do. It makes you realize that as a parent you still need to release the child in you, too, sometimes. I hope this will help many of you very stressed out mums. Go on - just give it one try. I bet you'll feel better.
