Age group(s) for which this technique is helpful:
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Primarily used to improve behavior:
At School

Instructions for using this technique:
Parents, along with their child's teachers, draft a "report card" that is used to solicit regular feedback about the child's in-school behavior. At the end of each class, the report card is filled out by the teacher and he is graded on his behavior. The report card should include specific explanations of any negative behaviors. If the child "forgets" to have the note signed, it is treated as if they received a bad report.

Other information parents should consider before using this technique:
Of course, this program requires the cooperation of the teacher, but it can be made a part of the Individual Education Plan (if one has been drafted). This program can also be tied in with a Token System where children are rewarded for positive reports.
