Age group(s) for which this technique is helpful:
Middle School

Primarily used to improve behavior:
At School

Instructions for using this technique:
GET WITH SCHOOL DISTRICT. ADHD FALLS UNDER THE FEDERAL 504 LAW. THE STUDENT IS ENTITLED TO MODIFICATION IN THE CLASSROOM. IF THE CHILD IS LIKE MINE, AND HAS TOO MUCH OF A BEHAVIORAL PROBLEM, THE TEACHERS CAN NOT DEAL WITH HIM. THIS YEAR THE SCHOOL FINALLY TOOK ME UP ON A PROPOSAL I MADE LAST YEAR. A SMALLER CLASSROOM. MY CHILD GETS THE CORRECT GRADE LEVEL CURRICULUM AND IS EXPECTED TO TO DO HIS WORK. BUT THE MAIN DIFFERENCE IS THAT THERE ARE ONLY 4 STUDENTS IN THE CLASS AND THE TEACHERS (2) ARE ABLE TO GIVE MORE INDIVIDUALIZED ATTENTION TO EACH CHILD.

Other information parents should consider before using this technique:
THE CHILDREN IN THIS CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT ARE EXPECTED TO DO THEIR WORK JUST AS IF THEY WERE IN A TRADITIONAL CLASS. MY SON MADE A/B HONOR ROLL THIS 1ST QUARTER.

THESE CHILDREN ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A BEHAVIORAL CONTRACT TO REMAIN IN THE CLASS--THEY MUST ABIDE BY THE CONTRACT.
