High School & Beyond

Primarily used to improve behavior:
Both At Home and At School

Instructions for using this technique:
On a whim, I allowed my son to use my husband's unused ditital voice recorder. He struggles with writing things out and reading out loud. So, he reads aloud into the recorder and plays it back to hear objectively how he is doing. He records answers to questions or thoughts on stories, events, experiments. He records reminders to himself or notes to me, and sometimes vents into it when he is mad at his older sisters. It is both a learning tool and an audio journal!

Other information parents should consider before using this technique:
These can be purchased for about $20 or so, run on a couple of AA batteries, and hold hours of recording time (mine holds 20 hours in four different folders).
