How do you use this note-taking system?
The structure is simple. Get two-column notepaper or divide standard paper into two columns. During class your child will write down broad concepts, events, or themes in the left column -- often single words and main points. In the right, he records sub-themes, specific details, and any other thoughts that come to mind.

Other important information:
This is the best note-taking system for the broadest range of kids. It's a happy medium between the traditional Roman numeral structure and the radical mapping, and it embraces minds that are both linear and spatial/visual. This system eliminates those pesky numerals and allows for your child to use space to separate ideas.
