How do you use this note-taking system?
If you have a child who tells you she doesn? need to take notes, give her the benefit of the doubt and create a trial period where she spends a few weeks not taking notes. If it turns out that she's missing huge chunks of information, start back at square one and find a structure that works. If your child is right, she gets to listen in class and the world loses a few less trees -- a win-win situation in my book.

Other important information:
This is not really a structure at all, but there is validity in the idea that some kids do not need to take notes. Some kids who are auditory learners may find that their classroom learning is actually impaired when forced to take notes.
