What type of loss did your child experience?
Loss of a loved one

Please add any additional comments or suggestions:
It's important to honestly share your grief with your child but not be so overwhelmed that it scares them. It's fine for a parent be sad and cry over the loss of a loved one, but children still need to feel that Mom or Dad is in control and will keep them safe under trying circumstances. Try to keep the household and school routine as normal and stable as possible. In the midst of grief, children need to know that life will go on for them.
