What questions should I ask when first talking with this resource?
There is a live online help service to complement a 3,000 page website. Most questions are dealt with in a frank and clear manner. Chaperoning of students (minors) is mandatory and parents are actively encouraged to view conversation logs between tutor and student for online tuition or sit in an adjacent room with the door open for face-to-face tuition.
What other things should I consider when selecting a tutor or tutoring service?
Many agencies 'cop out' by leaving it up to parents to 'interview' tutors. Experience shows this to be very much a 'hit and miss' affair - it is the agency's job to know its tutors and to sort out the most suitable person for each client individually. Avoid lists of names or companies which just present its tutors like a shelf of cereal packets in a supermarket - spot the bargain! Look for real people (not answer machines) and long opening hours in case you aren't entirely happy. Anysubject takes its responsibilities seriously in this respect and, with 15 years experience behind them, know the tuition industry as well as anyone.
