Encourage your child to sit down and prepare a student resume to bring on college visits and interviews. This resume will also become part of their college applications and financial aid applications. Use a standard resume format, with your child? complete name, address, and telephone number at the top of the resume. The expected date of graduation, and name and location of high school should also be included.Next, list school-related activities, honors and awards (grouped by grade) followed by community-related activities, volunteer work, and employment history. Include any leadership positions such as team captain or class officer.
