Description:
Parents organization formed to work with music department teachers/directors to enhance music education at the middle school level.
Duties:
Support music department activities - chaperoning, fundraising, hospitality, etc.

Depends on the organization.

Computer skills--Can use a computer to organize a project.
Creativity--Ability to develop new and interesting ideas.
Dependability--Can be counted on to complete tasks.
Flexibility--Can work with all kinds of people and adjust to changes in a plan.
Money skills--Uses money judiciously and can stay within a budget.
Organization--Can make a logical order out of many competing interests.
Resourcefulness--Finds inventive ways to complete a project.
Secretarial skills--Keeps track of records, events, and meetings.

Kids who study music are better students, and kids who are involved in well-supported music programs get more out of school. Kids whose parents are involved in the music program are more likely to stay involved and get more out of the program.
