Work up a schedule for each class to visit each visitor.

Coordinate thank you notes to each presenter from students.

Time needed:
Obviously there is a lot of preparation for this event. The committee will probably meet many times prior to Career Day. There will also be a lot of phone time needed, and time spent on sending out letters and thank you notes.

Lifespan of committee:
One day.

Personal benefits:
Great opportunity to work with people and become aware of various resources in your community.

Involving the kids:
Kids are great at brainstorming various professions they would like to have visit.

Other comments or suggestions:
Some Career Day schedules can become quite elaborate and complicated. If this is the case, perhaps your committee can turn that duty over to school personnel who are used to, and adept at, dealing with scheduling.
