Description:
Purchase, install and monitor updated playground equipment at your childÆs school.

Duties:
Poll the school community to understand what theyÆd like to have in their new playground.
Enlist support from the school principal.
Request playground equipment manufacturers to visit your site and make quotes on various pieces of equipment.
Decide on what to buy.
Lay the plans for installation.
Communicate to the school community about the committeeÆs decision.
Assist in installation.
Monitor the use of the playground and give feedback to manufacturer.

Time needed:
4 to 6 hours per month.

Characteristics/skills needed:
Mechanical Skills--Good with tools and using one's hands.
Organization--Can make a logical order out of many competing interests.

4 to 6 months.
