Description:
If you are familiar with the restaurant's menu, call and place your order ahead of time. When we wanted to have a "dining experience" rather than a Happy Meal, but knew the local Pizza Hut had slow service, we'd call and order, wait 15 minutes, then go. We got the waitress, got the real plates and silverware, all that good stuff, but not the long wait for our order which could lead to meltdown of hungry, tired little ones.

Other comments or suggestions:
Once the kids are older, you'll STILL do this in order to get to the soccer game on time!
