Description:
Where you are seated is a crucial element of your dining experience. Scout out the restaurant and ask for a table out of the way of the main traffic flow. If possible, try to sit at a booth where a chair tipping over won't be an issue and kids will be out of the way of busy waiters carrying hot foods and beverages. It's also best to request a table towards the back of the restaurant (or in a separate room when possible) where you are least likely to offend other customers and your children have the freedom to wander around more safely, talk loudly and "act like kids."

Other comments or suggestions:
In the warm weather, finding restaurants with outdoor patios and eating facilities are great options. You can usually keep a stroller by your table, and children love to people watch.
