Committees Especially Helpful For:
Fundraising
Safety and Maintenance

Briefly describe why this character trait or technique is helpful:
Knowing where you are going often makes all the difference in how you get there! Committee leaders who set goals help raise the interest level of those serving on the committee. For school fundraisers you can set a goal to raise a certain number of dollars or to have a certain percentage of student or family participation. You can set the goal of what to do with the funds raised. You can determine what projects you want completed and by when and if parent committees should help in areas of playground equipment installation or issues of safety. Setting goals focuses efforts and brings teams together!
