Describe this playground safety tip:
Closer supervision needs to be directed at bullying. A lot of times the bully is not going to make it obvious and the student getting bullied is not going to tell. The bully needs to be disciplined appropriately so that it is made clear that the school will not tolerate that type of behavior. As for any discipline problems, the parents should be called immediately and also sent a letter. Action needs to be taken now instead of letting it progress to a higher level.
Other comments or suggestions:
I am writing this for a reason ... my son has been getting bullied for 2 years and when I went into the school to try and correct the problem, it made it worse. The school does nothing to discipline the bully but my son gets disciplined for not walking away. The school never calls me or sends a letter home about the punishment that he must go through. Schools need to work on their level of communication.
