Extra Small: Up to 10 inches; up to 15 pounds.

Kid-tolerance scale:
Very Good

Average lifespan:
12-15 years

Overall behavior of breed:
A very lively and personable dog. Very family loyal. Friendly with strangers. Quite even tempered and tolerable of small children. Easy to maintain; very low cost. This breed is easy to train and has no agressive tendencies. They are natural hunters. A 90 pound dog in a 7 pound body.

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
Our dog has been subjected to dress up, carriage rides and being placed in doll cribs. He gets handled quite a bit and has never snapped or nipped in anger.

Black and white

Does this breed shed?
Yes

Special grooming needs:
Minimal brushing and bathing. Short hair with minimal shedding.

Daily exercise requirements:
Minimal. They do enjoy walks however frequently you care to indulge.

Other comments or suggestions
These dogs are cuddlers. Due to their small size, they are very portable and they travel well. Extremely good natured dogs. They love to terrorize cats; a bit shy of larger dogs. Very inquisitive, but they are not yappers.
