Size range:
Small: 10-20 inches; 15-30 pounds.

Kid-tolerance scale:
Excellent

Average lifespan:
Depends upon care - 12-14 years

Overall behavior of breed:
Active and enjoys play with family. Gets along well with other household pets (except for rodents). Curious, intelligent, tolerant, affectionate, etc....

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
My 10 year old gets rowdy and terrorizes the terrier, and Smoky will run to me when he's had enough. Smoky forgives him later and sleeps under the comforter of my son's bed at night - boys and their dogs!

Typical colors:
white/brown/black

Does this breed shed?
No

Special grooming needs:
Bath 2-4 weeks regularly will keep skin and shiny sleek coat looking good!

Daily exercise requirements:
45 minutes

Other comments or suggestions
For people who want a companion that is not a liability or a behavior problem. Mine cost $125 "tuxedo pup."
