Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
Our sheepdog is a gem! He tolerates everything. He thinks that he is a lap-dog. Though not allowed on furniture, he will lie at our feet just to be near people.

Our daughter has dressed him up, hand fed him, chased him, and occasionally tried to ride him. He rolls over on his back in submission for her to pet his tummy.

He is never aggressive towards other dogs or people. But as he is a herding breed, he always appears to be cautious and protective of our daughter. He also rarely barks.

We have him trimmed, so shedding is quite minimal.

Daily exercise requirements:
He enjoys a walk and game of chase.
