Overall behavior of breed:
Trademarked as the firehouse dog: Dalmatians are very intelligent, sensitive, loyal and territorial with their own families. Their stubbornness requires socialization and obedience training very early on.

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
Dalmatians have been known to be more prone to behavioral problems. Vigorous exercise and extensive training help keep problems at bay, but Dalmatians are not usually recommended for inexperienced dog owners or families with small children.

White with brown or black spots

No

Special grooming needs:
Dalmatians shed constantly and need to be brushed daily.

Daily exercise requirements:
Dalmatians have lots of energy and need to have room to run around. They require several long walks and a secured area to play in.
