Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
Standard poodles seem to have a better tolerance for kids than the toy or miniature varieties.

Typical colors:
black, brown, white, cream, blue, gray

Does this breed shed?
No

Special grooming needs:
Coats are dense, but do not shed. Poodles need regular brushing (a few times a week) and a trip to the groomer about every 4 to 6 weeks.

Daily exercise requirements:
Ideally, you and your poodle should take several long, brisk walks per day. Poodles should also be allowed the freedom to romp and play in a secured area daily. Standard poodles generally require more exercise than miniatures and toy poodles.
