Extra Large: 40 inches and up; 65 pounds and up.

Overall behavior of breed:
It is a very large, dominant-natured dog, that attaches very quickly to its family-especially the kids of the family. This dog requires an experienced owner and if raised correctly, he will always be submissive to every member of the family.

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
This dog loves to play! My Boys love to play! A perfect match!

Typical colors:
Blacks, blues and fawns. May be solid colored or have stripping (brindle), with white patches on chests and tips of toes.

Does this breed shed?
No

Special grooming needs:
None

Daily exercise requirements:
These dogs are from a working class of dogs, so they are very active and require daily exercise. They love being included in family activities.

Other comments or suggestions
This dogs average weight is well over 100 lbs. Socialize it early. Allow it to play, but never to jump! Trust me, you don't want a 100+ pound mass of muscles jumping on you!
