4 Star Dog Breed Rating

Size range:
Extra Large: 40 inches and up; 65 pounds and up.

Kid-tolerance scale:
Excellent

Average lifespan:
12-15 yrs

Overall behavior of breed:
Extremely active and intelligent. Can get lonely when left alone and find creative ways to keep himself busy. Best for familys where there is someone home most of the time.

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
He is great with my kids. He is always an eager playmate, loves to snuggle with them, lets them lay on him. Also, very alert about people near the yard, protective, but not vicious. Very intelligent and quick to learn new tricks and games.

Typical colors:
Beautiful and regal appearance. Grayish short hair. Blue or amber eyes.

Does this breed shed?
Yes

Special grooming needs:
Very short hair, so shedding is not much of an issue.

Daily exercise requirements:
Should be walked or played with frequently. A large yard would be recommended so he can tire himself out when no one is available to entertain him.
