4 Star Dog Breed Rating

Size range:
Medium: 20-30 inches; 25-45 pounds.

Kid-tolerance scale:
Excellent

Overall behavior of breed:
Very intelligent, active, friendly, eager to please, responds to hand signals and voice commands, responds to change of voice tone.

Explain why this breed was good/not good with your kids:
This breed runs the energy out of my very active children. The dog is very active and enjoys playing tag, chasing and being chased, basketball, and fetches.

Typical colors:
Black & White, or brown

Does this breed shed?
Yes

Special grooming needs:
None

Daily exercise requirements:
Needs room to run. We have about a half acre and she runs laps around the entire yard at full speed all day long.

Other comments or suggestions
The dog responds to emotion in my voice. When she is doing something she shouldn't be, verbal correction causes her to bow her head and become submissive. She knows right from wrong due to her high intelligence is what I am trying to convey.
