Description:
As parents, we donĘt usually hesitate to step in and be heard when we see inappropriate behavior from our children. And when you see your child being a bad sport, it should not go unnoticed. But when your child is having trouble being a good sport, it may be time for a sit-down, heart-to-heart discussion.

When kids have trouble playing well with their teammates, showing respect to coaches, or have an extremely hard time with the agony of defeat it may a sign that something else is bothering them.

Has the routine at home or school changed? Have their group of friends recently changed? Has it been a busy month without enough family time together? Are they participating in a sport that they enjoy and really want to be a part of? Are they having any fun? DonĘt be afraid to ask a lot of questions, but be sure to really listen to the answers. You may be surprised by what you hear.
