Description:
Show your support and encouragement for your kids when they participate in their favorite sporting activities by being there to watch their game. But make sure you also know how to be a good spectator.

Cheering your children on is a good thing. Yelling obscenities at the other team or any of the coaches is not. Feeling frustrated after a bad call is normal. Getting into a brawl with another parent or coach over it is unnecessary, unprofessional and downright ugly.

Even as spectators, parents still need to be setting a good example. Encourage your children to give it their all and to be their best both on and off the field. As parents and spectators we need to do the same.

Appropriate age group(s):
Middle School
High School & Beyond
