Equipment:
Baseball Bat, Ball Gloves, Baseball or Softball, Fairly large playing area, and several players.
Description:
One player stands at one end of the playing area while all the others stand out in the rest of the area wearing ball gloves. The one player has the baseball bat and ball and hits the ball to the others, trying to hit fly balls. The others try to catch the ball in the air or after the first bounce (hence the name First Bounce a fly). Whoever catches the ball gets to go up and be the next hitter while the previous hitter goes out into the field with the rest of the players to try to catch the ball. Players rotate each time someone catches the ball.
Other comments or suggestions:
A fun game for a family gathering or any group of kids or kids at heart. Rules can be modified when younger children are playing like letting them catch the ball after the second bounce and limiting them to only so many tries to hit the ball so as not to hold up the game too long for the others.
