Cost:
$10 or more

Description:
It may seem less personal, but most any teacher would love a gift certificate from a teacher supply store, where he or she could choose useful or fun classroom items. This would be appropriate for end-of year gift-giving. For a more personal gift, such as for a holiday or birthday, the gift certificate could be for a book store, music store, a nearby lunch spot, etc.

Preparation:
A group meeting to decide what the teacher would enjoy most, how much each participant should or can contribute, and who will make the purchase.

Other comments or suggestions:
There are also internet services with gift certificates for food, flowers, books, candy, you name it.
