Description:
Parents take over recess duty in order to give the teachers a much needed break.

Preparation:
Ask the principal if parent volunteers may cover recess duty for one day. Get a copy of the recess schedule and assign parent volunteers, at least two, for every class. Leave a note in each teacher's mailbox, advising them they have that half hour free. Make sure each volunteer is provided a copy of recess duty rules and tips.
