Cost:
Reduce food costs with donations

Description:
With teachers' varying schedules, it's difficult to get them all in one place at one time for a meal. Solve the problem by setting up the teachers' lounge as an all-day, goody-filled, snack break station. Remember, the fastest way to anyone's heart, particularly your hardworking teachers, is through their stomach!

Preparation:
Call volunteers and ask them to prepare a homemade treat for snack day. Try to get a good variety of sweet and salty, fruits and veggies.

The day before, put an invitation in each teacher's mailbox, along with other staff (aides, custodians, administrators) letting them know the TeachersÆ Lounge will be open all day for their snacking enjoyment.

Set up includes making the room pretty û tablecloths, flowers, and candles. Goodies should be dropped off before school starts, and volunteers should be manning the room throughout the day to replenish supplies and keep things clean.

Other comments or suggestions:
Have at least one volunteer on hand in the snack room all day (2 hour shifts?) to keep things replenished and tidy.
