Description:
Hand Painted/Stencil (or mosaic)Flower Pots with planted flowers (from seed or starter flowers)

Preparation:
Set up stations for painting or doing mosaic. Set up stations for Planting Line up pots, soil and flowers in a row. Have your child paint or stencil on the outside of the pot. Let them be the artist. For older children you can suggest words like "you've helped me grow", you help me bloom" etc... or you can have them glue some sort of mosaic on the pot. Let it dry over night. The next day have the child fill with dirt and plant a flower in the pot. If you think ahead, you can grow from seed and then write a note in the card letting the teacher know how much effort the child put into it.

Other comments or suggestions:
This can be a really simple project to a very intricate process depending on the child and you. The flower can grow all summer and beyond and remind them of how much they are appreciated.
