Description:
Rather than just give your child's teacher a bouquet of flowers, this cooperative gift is a neat way to give your favorite teacher something that will last through Spring Break. Simply ask parents in your childs' classroom to contribute what they would normally spend on a teachers gift plus a nominal amount for the flowers. Use the funds to purchase a variety of gift cards ie: bookstore, day spa, coffee shop, favorite salon, restaurants, etc. Ask the florist for additional card picks that they use for the floral cards and place the gift cards in them among the flowers. You then have a unique and much appreciated gift for your hard working teacher that she can enjoy through out the summer.

Other comments or suggestions:
Very well received by teachers and pretty easy to pull together. Don't be afraid to ask other parents to help with the purchasing of the gift cards to minimize your running, or to ask them for suggestions for businesses to get the cards from.
