Chalk on Pavement

Cost:
$0.00-$5.00

Description:
Each year for teacher appreciation week we decorate the pavement out in front of the school with chalk. One year we drew large flowers and each staff member had their name written in a flower. We then added a note, "Welcome to our Garden of Thanks!" Last year we drew big stars with a staff member's name in each one. Again, we added a note, "Our staff are shining stars!"

The students loved to arrive at school as well and find their teacher's name outside.

Preparation:
It helped to cut a pattern for the flowers and stars out of cardboard so one just had to trace the pattern and all looked similiar. It helped to have a couple patterns so several people could be tracing patterns at one time and another couple people could be adding the staff names in the center.
