Cost:
none

Description:
A vase full flowers brought by each child. Great in the Spring!

Preparation:
Collect mayo/pickle jars. Wrap jars in tissue, newspaper, fabric or paper bags. Use raffia or ribbon to tie around the neck of the jar. Give all teachers and staff a jar. Send out notices to students that on a designated day they can buy, make or pick a flower to bring to school to put in the jars. Soon the teachers have a beautiful vase of flowers.

Other comments or suggestions:
Our PTA buys extra flowers on that day to give to students who forgot or don't have one. This saves on tears and always makes everyone feel a part of the activity! The items used can be those found around the house so there is no need to spend any money.
