Description:
Preparation and presentation are the keys to having a successful yard sale. Using large, easy-to-read labels that identify items by name are not only a help to your customers, they are a help to you. They eliminate tag switching, and they can be cut off and saved, so at the end of the sale you look back and see what items sold.

Another good selling technique is a beautiful display. That ugly brown vase might not look so bad filled with daffodils or daylilies. The cheap china your husband had before you met him will look more appealing if set out around a card table covered with a tablecloth and decorated with some half-burned candles. By spending a few hours ahead of time making sure items are clean, mended, labeled and displayed you can bring in more money than you ever thought possible!
